My name is Marie and I have been involved with NCBR since early 2002. It all started with volunteering at the Antioch Animal shelter which led to fostering for Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek. That lasted for 2 years until I decided that we needed to add a boxer to our family. That decision led me to NCBR and the rest is history! I live in Oakley (between Antioch and Brentwood) with my husband, Steve, my 11 year old son, Joel, our 5 year old flashy fawn boy, Jake, (from NCBR) Rachel, my 6 year old queen bee flashy fawn girlie and last but not least, Tex - a 2 year old boston terrier boy that we adopted from BT rescue in Texas on our last trip to Dallas.
