Originally applying with Norcal Boxer Rescue to adopt a third 'addition,' I learned right away that I wanted to help. I am sorry to say that I was so completely ignorant of the world of rescue and the plight of so many of this nation's animals before Amy Northrup and NCBR Texas opened my eyes. I have become passionate about my volunteer work and continue to immerse myself in the hope that one day, I will have helped make a difference.
My husband and I have recently moved back to the Northeast but I have found ways to stay active and productive with Norcal Boxer Rescue. This has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life and there have been numerous highs and lows, but I nonetheless adore being a part of such a magnificent team of volunteers and the tough work we do together.
My dogs, Millie, Hannah and Cowboy inspire me everyday to keep helping. They effortlessly prove to me each day how special and unique they are and are continuous inspiration to me to stay the course in saving the lives of those dogs who just never had a chance to thrive and flourish. I am so very lucky to have had my eyes opened to everything I am capable of achieving in the world of boxer rescue. I am happy and honored to do my part with such a great team!
